GitHub Repository Analyzer

Project Overview

Award-winning developer tool (2x Hackathon Winner) that inspects GitHub repositories to construct AST syntax trees, evaluate code metrics, audit CVE security vulnerabilities, and render AWS deployment architecture diagrams automatically.

The Problem & Motivation

Engineers and tech leads spend hours reviewing codebases to assess maintainability, technical debt, and cloud deployment topology.

Key Engineering Features

01

Automated Cloud Topology Generator

Renders visual AWS architecture diagrams.

Parses terraform and Docker files to display subnets, VPCs, ELB load balancers, and EC2 instances.

02

AST Parsing & Code Metrics

Deep syntax analysis for cyclomatic complexity.

Calculates test coverage, duplicate code lines, and maintains AST class definition trees.

Technical Challenges & Engineering Solutions

Parsing Large Repository AST Trees

Challenge: Parsing massive multi-file Java and Python codebases resulted in memory spikes on the Spring Boot backend.

Solution: Implemented stream-based AST parsing and JVM memory tuning to process files sequentially without overflowing heap space.
